Project Natal for Xbox 360 HD!
Click the HD button! Update:Lionheads Milo Demo HD! www.youtube.com Im pretty much speechless here. This is ground breaking technology and im not just talking about this trailer but the bit i watched after it which unfortunately I cannot find to share with you all. A girl demonstraiting the program was speaking to a virtual AI boy called Milo. He recognised her facial expressions and emotions and re-acted accordingly. She even showed him a painting on a piece of paper (showing it to the camera) and Milo picked it up within the program and even knew what colours the painting was etc. Its truly amazing. Milo then proceded to a pond where he told the girl to look in the fish pond and try to grab some fish. The girl demonstrating the program could move the water with her hands distrurbing the fish and you could even see her reflection in the water bending over moving the water. I’m doing shit describing this because it was so unbeliveable, I will really try to find this video and share it with you all. Congratulations go to Peter Molyneux and his team over at Lionhead for creating this little program and demonstration. Microsoft is one step closer to virtual reality.
PS3 motion controller vs Project Natal
{RE: Natal will ensure PS3 = Dead Last} Why i think the ps3 will do better than Natal. Warning this video is completely biased, and is all my opinion. {Its copying the wii}[my re.}-Sony cant legally copy the Wiimote, the same with any controller for any console or that com.will be sued for design copying.I’ll explain how its not copying the Wii entirely, they both have a remote like structure with gyroscopes & accelerometers, all of which have different designs in how they work & are tuned.(4 legal reasons)They differ in the way they are positioned.the Wii uses the two inferred lights with a sensor on the mote, while the ps3 has the glowing sphere on the controller & the pseye can track position accurately 1.1,kinda like how mo cap works in games and movies.it can track its exact position like the Dr.says in the vid. {“Natal is original”}Natal is by far the most unoriginal piece of hardware ever pronounced as original. To slim it down,Natal was originally a 3dv camera from the company 3DV,Microsoft bought the company before Natal was released,Dr Richard Marks(the tall guy reppin the ps3 in the video) has been working on 3dv technology for over 9 years, short story short, the 3dv camera was the first Project Natal. 3DV link venturebeat.com bottom of avatars shoe fail www.youtube.com
E3 2009 – Project Natal – Milo Demo with Peter Molyneux 720p HD
I cannot begin to stress how potentially groundbreaking this technology is. I have always stated, that motion controls for gaming, no matter what tech you used to derive your motion control, was a complete dead end for gaming, unless someone developed a revolutionary method to make it essential for gaming. To date, I have been proven 100% right in this case. Extremely few games have worked well with motion controls. And quite honestly, Milo represents the first true ‘killer ap’ in the world for the case that motion control may be the future of video games. The unprecedented potential that Milo represents, right out of the gate, is a complete and total re-invention of the RPG and adventure game genres. Games like Shenmue, Mass Effect, Alpha Protocol, Yakuza, Fallout, Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain, Omikron, etc. . . . adventure games and rpgs that heavily depend on social interaction with in-game npcs to advance in the game, would be completely and forever revolutionized using Project Natal and the Milo API. What is an even greater portent of things to come for rpgs and adventure games, is the fact that Peter Molyneux and his team at Lionhead Studios, an RPG-centric game studio, are the ones developing the Milo API in the first place. And if that was not awesome enough for you, consider this. At a recent private play thru of Milo, it was revealed to Joystiq, that Lionhead would indeed be including Milo in a real game to see release around the same time as the Project Natal …
