Help! I’ve got my 40gb in pieces on my dining table, and I’ve lost a couple of the rubbery bits off the motherboard! Can I do without, or do I need to replace them, and if a replacement is needed, where can I get them? Please help, I really need to be an Alien! :=)

too parts to take apart, I won’t remember how to reassemble it back together lol rather just buy a new ps3 or send it in, sony most likely will give u a brand new ps3 like they did my cousin with a broken power supply.

I just used this tutorial to get down to my cmos clock battery. It fixed my PSN down issue. THANKS to uploader!!!!!!

That damn battery needs to come out for a few minutes to reset the clock and then fix the PSN sync issues.

I think I messed up my ps3… when I tried to plug out the connector for the fan, the plug and connector came out. I was stupid enough to put crazy glue on it to try to put it on, but it didnt work, any suggestions? =/

@VirtuousCreature I think ur correct. On my 4th fix I decided to put extra thermal paste b/c it keeps wearing too fast. After I put it back together ps3 wouldn’t turn on and when I tried to redo it heatsink was kind of stuck but I still took it off.

there are a few places that make crazy glue solvent. Might want to check either your local hardware stores or toy train/model shops.

baring that. extreme Cold can make crazy glue brittle. stick it in the freezer in a plastic freezer bag( to keep out the moisture) and let it sit over night. and try gently jarring the glue loose with a hobby knife.
