I’m sure these guitars rock…if they actually exist. It seems, that amazon and J and R music, are having difficulty, getting two, of these wireless beauties, to me. It’s been…almost 45 days now…still waiting. They have been paid already…not my idea of a fun on line shopping experience.

What can I say? I am blown away by Rockband. People often use the phrase “fun as heck”, well my best friend and I agree this game is FUNNER than heck. My best friend, his brother, and I played this and 7 hours just went by. But anyway, about the wireless guitar. It’s different from the guitar hero guitars in a few ways. 1. It’s a Fender and not a Gibson. 2. It has buttons on the lower neck near the guitar body which you can use to fingertap your way through solos without strumming. 3. It has an effects lever that can change what kind of effect you want in game. 4. The lever used for strumming doesn’t click like guitar hero controller, which takes some getting used to. But once you’ve adjusted completely and said goodbye to the old, trust me you’ll love the new. The title of my review was somewhat misleading. I said Rockband is the next generation of guitar hero. Guitar Hero doesn’t have anything on Rockband. Rockband is its own generation. 4 people can play: Singer, Guitar, Bass, Drums (my personal favorite). This brings co op to a whole new level. Invite your friends and start a rockband!

I ordered this item for Christmas delivery ( I even paid more to ensure that it arrived on December 23rd). Not only did I not receive it in time to be given as a Christmas present when it did finally show up over a week later, the box was damaged and wet.
I will certainly think very hard before ordering from you again.

Rating is for the guitar that comes with the PLAYSTATION 3 RockBand. This was a gift for my daughter for Christmas. The guitar strum was DOA. The whole unit made a funny humming noise. Followed the directions from the company for a return after being on hold for an hour plus. They said to use “canned air”. We searched all day to find any store open to buy the canned air to spray into the strum. No luck there. Finally got the canned air–still did what it did before, which was to not really move at all on the down stroke. There are enough bad reviews on this and the strum to suggest that there is no quality control or testing of batches prior to shipping. Now we have to pay for a return (bought on Amazon). The packaging is so tight that repacking to send to Amazon is crazy. Now we have a can of canned air–that we never needed or wanted before.
