Plenty of fish and plenty of action. Must like Anime/ Japan to appreciate this. The good part is that you don’t really know what fish is on the line until you haul it in.

I have not had this much fun with a video game since I was a kid back in the space invaders days !!! Both me and my 7 and 9 year old boys love this game and we have played for hours on end…the controls are very life like with the Wii controlers…once you start opening up several different fishing areas it starts to get really exciting too. I recommend doing some online research and looking for a FAQ site for this game that gives you some clues about what baits to use during which season so that you can catch some of the really rare fish and to open up other new spots. The graphics on this are very well done. My kids already love to do “real fishing” so this now gives them a great winter activity to keep their love of fishing going strong. Buy this game for hours of family fun and after the kids go to bed maybe Dad can get some serious fishing done too. Great game.

If you’re looking for a realistic fishing game this isn’t it. I think this game was geared more towards children.

I read the other reviews and I was expecting that it would be a lot of fun, but it missed the mark for me.

    Pros:

    - Unlike some of the other fishing games you can fish around the world, and catch different species of fish around the world

    - The “Line Break” and “Hook Off” is very well balanced, my biggest complaint for my favorite fishing game is how easy it is to break the line, this game it is much simpler to land a fish

    Cons:

    - The tone of the game is very childish, you may feel kind of silly playing this if you don’t have children

    - You have less control of where you’re fishing from, each location has a spot you fish from and there’s no “trolling the boat” to a different area

    - The puzzles and mini games were just not fun for me

    - Graphics were sub par

    - There’s no underwater interaction with the fish

    - The game just seems too easy

I rented this game from GameFly, as I’m trying to find a second fishing game to purchase. I currently own Wii Hooked Real Motion Fishing, and even with the line break issues I still think it’s the best option currently out.

  • Awesome game, fun interface, and lots of fish.

I have been playing this with my 5 year old for the past month and I am not sure which of us is having more fun.

This a big game with 200 fish types, around 20 lure types, seasons of the year fish, with lots of locations to fish.
