I purchased this PS2 game with hopes of being able to use it rather than the PC for a good golf game. Not gonna happen.

A couple things make this game very bad in my opinion.

1. the fact I cannot play with or against all the players right away or even play all the courses right away. You open get it started and you can only pick from a couple courses and a couple players to use. The box says 12 players, 9 courses. Yes, they are there but you have to play and win so many games to gain the right to use them.

…This is a supposed sports game. When I buy a baseball, hockey, or football game I don’t have to win Seasons with the Bengals (sorry no offense, those in Ohio) before I can be the team I want to be or play in the stadium I want to play in….That is fine for an adventure or action game, but this is suppose to be a sports game.

2. I will say the golf mannerisms are great, but they take forever to go through to get to the next shot. After you make your shot, you have to hit x like 4 times to take you next shot to get through all the golf mannerisms it shows. That is fine to have that once in a while come up after a signifcant or difficult shot, but after everyone, gets tiring.

Any real disappointed with this game and I will be taking it to the used place to get a different game. Either way I got ripped and am going to lose some money, but at least I’ll get 1/2 back at the used place.

ok the graphics were good and the courses were nice but the gameplay was aweful. Most of the time you have no control of what you are doing. Everything seems to be pre-set or at complete random. You could hit 10 straight long drives, then the 11th time you slice the … out of it for no particular reason. Even if your swing is exactly the same. I also dont understand why people who make games make them so stupidly. I was playing a tournament. The computer players were 10 under through 6 holes!!!Two Tiger Woods combined could not get that score, not even “SUPER TIGER” who seems to be the only golfer in the game I can actually play with. Then they try to spice it up. When you hit the ball, while your ball is in the air, they show your expression,or a zoom in to the ball and you cant tell where its going. You cant judge which way to spin it or anything. One of my biggest problems with the game was when you get close to the green and you just want to chip it on the green… nothing more. Trying to get the ball where you want it when you are 1 inch from the green in light rough is like extended deep sea diving (where have i heard that before??its bugging me) OK im next to the green. I just want to get it on the green. I move my little arrow that shows where the ball lands (means absolutly nothing in this game) as close to me as possible. I do hardly any backswing at all, and the ball flys over the green into a sand trap. This type of thing happens all the time. I think the people who made this game said, “I KNOW WHAT WE CAN DO, WE CAN RANDOMLY MAKE PEOPLE PLAY LIKE …. ON CERTAIN HOLES. IT WILL BE GREAT. HE CAN TRY TO HIT THE BALL TO THE HOLE, WE WILL MAKE IT GO IN SAND TRAP. HE TRYS TO HIT FAN IN GALLERY, WE WILL SEND HIM TO LAKE…. HARDY HAR HAR”
The last thing was the golfers. They have a bunch of made up guys. WHY?? Why not put Mickleson and Garcia in the game??
