I got this at Family Video to rent to play on a rainy weekend. I was playing online with it for awhile and it was working and then when I went to play another online match session I get the pop-up “Bad Connection” and I went thru all the scencerios: I checked my router: Fine, I checked my connection to PS3 via the router: fine. I tryed again the next day: Same problem. I have gone on the EA sports forum for this game and there are people there with the same complaints. Check it out if you don’t believe me. There is a bug in this game. Besides the bug, the game was great, and I loved the tiger challenges. Buyer Beware

this was ordered as gift for christmas. It was received very quickly and in excellent condition. I would order from this source again without hesitation.

  • I never received the game from the recipient, but I bought one and asked for a refund. The one I bought my brother from Meijer for a higher price he says was very fun.

this is the first Tiger game i’ve liked & kept since the 05 version. it’s easy to play & looks really beautiful on the flat screen. the only issue’s i have are:

    1) you can only play up to 5 years in a career, there were 10 year careers on 05. you’re supposed to increase over the years not decline.

    2) you can’t use multiple profiles in a PGA Tournament

    3) the payouts are low. they were low on Tiger 05 but at least you still made six figures for winning. on 09 after winning my first event i only made $15,000. that’s hardly enough to buy anything.

    4) no winning celebrations. why can’t they put a trophy presentation into the game, i mean it’s bad enough you can’t play Agusta National & put on the green jacket but at least they should put in trophy presentations when you win. this game’s been around for almost a decade now & it’s unexcusable that these things are not in it. they (EA Sports) need to put forth the same effort they put towards Madden & NCAA Football for Tiger. golf is a very popular game and alot of folks purchase this every year.

Oh my. I own over 5 Tiger Woods games for XBOX and PS3. I have become accustomed to the voices of David Feherty and Jim McCormic (not sure of spelling…forgive me) and love their commentary along with their humor. Now, I read the positive reviews for ‘09 and I make my purchase. Now, I will tell you the positive things about this: It has a lot more players than previous games. That’s it. Negative: who in the hell is doing the voice overs? how terrible. How bad is it? before i finished the 3rd hole in my first stroke play round, I was already looking for the options to turn them off. yes- that bad. and the graphics. is it me or does the players look somewhat….fuzzy (for lack of a better term to describe it…was gonna say fluffy…lol). I miss the old voices. But i guess. turn them off and play the course in China. nice.
