I preorderd the game on September 27th, 2006. I was promised by Amazon that the order will be shipped on Oct 17th. Then they delayed the shipment. Not yet shipped, now its going to be on Oct 23rd, that is also an estimated date. How is this possible? The product is readly available else where, but Amazon. I’m still waiting to hear from Amazon to see whether they are going to compansate me for this delay.

Thank you for all your comments. I am taking my copy of FSDeluxe back, unopened. I am greatful you all saved me the frustration and anger. Sorry you all endured it though. The hardware requirements for new software is getting crazy.

Amazon led me to believe it was availible for shipment, only to get my money. I have been posponed now three times. I have 2 friends who have recieved there orderes as promised (by a different vendor). This is the last purchase from Amazon I will make. I don’t expect to receive a refund.

Theres a couple of problems with this product.
1) It requires a monster machine to run at all
2) Its not much fun
On 2 – yeah I know its a simulator. And arguably it simulates the dullness of flying admirably, but I was looking for enjoyment. Didn’t happen.
On 1 – it has a nasty habit of making things disappear when it gets something big on screen. I tried it on two fast modern machines one with a cutting edge video card – and it still had problems. Oh dear.

I have not purchased this game yet. I want to know if it will work on my system. I have a dual core, quad 6.6 processor, 4GB RAM, and a 8800 GT video card. I will not make the purchase until somebody can tell me if this machine I built will allow it to run without hickups.
