Fallout 3 Game Add-On Pack: Operation Anchorage and The Pitt

Requires Fallout 3, which installs malware onto your computer that will not be uninstalled with the game. This has been confirmed by both steam and BethSoft.

Bought this and followed the installation instructions for my Vista Home Premium 64 machine. Long after installation Vista suggests it “may not have installed properly” although all expected files show up in their proper locations.
The instructions in the box are very concise. I followed them all. The files copy, but the program does not run.
Odds are that some “security” which should be unlocked by using a retail DVD is not properly disabled. Yes, thank you, very secure — I pay for Fallout 3, I pay for the add-on DVD, I play by the rules precisely, and it does not run. Very very secure!
I strongly suggest you do not waste your money.

I installed the application after analyzing some of the very poorest instructions for installation I have ever read (even worse than the bad Chinese directions). Plus it had ambigious instructions that said that upon playing the game U would receive (game) radio signals providing instructions for completing these two new game quests. Never happened. I considered returning game for a refund but didn’t want to inflict this #&*@ on anyone else if was to be resent to another. If U want less pain, shoot youirself in the foot.

Hope you have a lot of time for this one and every time you start a new game it’s different. Playing Fallout is the cheapest hour-for-hour fun out there. I’d say, go for it!

The games themselves were kind of lame. They were too short, too linear and too predictable. Actually we had purchased them earlier with great reluctance on MSN LIVE. We were excited when the actual disks became avaialble as we are collecting everything Fall Out that we can get our hands on. The arrival of the disks helps us get closer to completing our collection.
